About Me

My name is Charlotte and was born in 1986. I was born in Buckinghamshire, England and when i was 13 i moved with my parents to North Devon. This is where i met my husband Owen. We got married in 2009 and in December 2011 we had our son William.

While living in North Devon i worked part time as a Textiles Technician in a secondary school and also made wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses. My crafting hobbies also include crochet. I was taught how to knit and crochet by my mother in law and haven't stopped since! She also got me into blogging! I have taken part in a few craft fayres and wedding fayres, displaying and selling my creations.

In August 2013 we moved to Dubai, where i am now a stay at home mum with William, and spend my time crafting and doing activities with him. Our life in North Devon was fairly quiet so to have moved to Dubai, the famous city of United Arab Emirates, it is quite a change!

While i am in Dubai i am still taking on custom orders for crochet items, so take a look at my Sharky Knows Facebook page for more info.

Please leave comments on my blog, its really encouraging to hear from you all! I also like to follow other blogs so if you see one (or have your own) that you think i will like, please let me know! If you would like to be featured on the Sharky Knows blog or facebook page, please get in touch!

  1. I read your comment on another blog of your experience with postpartum haemorrhage and I would like to feature you as a guest author on our maternal health blog, if you would be interested?
I would be honoured to share your story in your words.
I work with the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine on an international effort to reduce postpartum haemorrhage called the WOMAN trial. Have you heard of WOMAN before? It is testing a well used drug (tranexamic acid) in postpartum haemorrhage to try and treat this and reduce the number of women who sadly lose the battle with blood loss.

If you would be interested please drop me a quick email and we can discuss this further.
    My email is chelci.squires@lshtm.ac.uk

    Keep safe,
    Chelci
